Silicon carbide powder Sets
Silicon carbide powder is ideal for dressing synthetic and natural whetstones. For this, the silicon powder has to be coarser than the grinding stone. The coarser the powder, the faster and stronger the removal. Sprinkle the powder on a hard and flat surface, e.g. on a glass plate, and mix with a splash of water, start moving the stone in circular movements. Before doing this, it is imperative to mark the surface to be dressed in a diamond shape so that the progress of the grinding process can be seen. When the diamond pattern is completely sanded off, the grindstone is flat.
